Having previously gained valuable experience working with a number of engineering consumables companies, and recognising the growing demand for consumable products among local businesses, company founder Neal Hickman established Nelstar in 2005 from his loft and operating with just a small van.

Starting with a limited number of suppliers and customers, Neal used his industry knowledge to supply and distribute consumables to businesses across the West Midlands. With the initial family support, the business steadily grew, expanding operations from a small unit in Upper Gornal and then onto its current premises in Wednesbury and employing seven experienced members of staff. 

Throughout the years and by working closely with local businesses, Nelstar has built strong, long-term partnerships and contributed to strengthening the local business community. By sourcing products directly from suppliers and delivering them efficiently to customers, the company has formed a foundation based on trust and reliability.
